Rates moved higher Wednesday following the release of stronger than expected economic data. This morning, October Durable Goods Orders jumped 4.8%, well above the consensus forecast for an increase of 1.5%. Weekly Jobless Claims came in at 251,000, close to expectations. Consumer Sentiment rose unexpectedly to 93.8 from 91.6. New Home Sales fell to 563,000 annual units, short of forecast. Results from today’s 7-year Treasury auction will come out at 1:00 PM. Detailed Minutes from the November 2 Fed meeting will be released at 2:00 PM.
