Mortgage rates moved lower Thursday following the release of mixed economic data. This morning, weekly Jobless Claims fell to 252,000, below the consensus forecast of 260,000. The National Association of Realtors reported August Existing Home Sales declined unexpectedly to 5.33 million annual units. An increase to 5.45 million had been expected. Leading Indicators declined to -0.2, well below expectations. No other key data will be released today.
