Rates were little changed Thursday as today’s economic data came in a bit weaker than expected. Weekly Jobless Claims rose to 274,000, above the consensus forecast of 270,000. Existing Home Sales fell to 5.04 million annual units, far short of expectations. Leading Indicators rose to 0.7. A reading of 0.3 had been expected. The Philly Fed Index, a survey of manufacturing activity in the Philadelphia region, fell unexpectedly to 6.7. Readings above zero indicate expansion in the manufacturing sector. No other key data will be released today.
