In economic news, weekly Jobless Claims declined to 300,000, far below the consensus forecast of 320,000, to the lowest level since May 2007. Investors showed little reaction to the report, as seasonal volatility appeared to have distorted the figures. Import Prices rose 0.6%, above expectations. Results from today’s 30-year Treasury auction will be released at 1:00 PM.
