Mortgage rates were little changed Tuesday following the release of mixed economic data. This morning, the S&P-Case/Shiller 20-city home price index reportedly fell 0.1% in January, a bit below forecast, but jumped 13.2% compared to one year ago. Consumer Confidence rose to 82.3. A reading of 78.1 had been expected. February New Home Sales declined by 3.3% to 440,000 annual units, in line with expectations. Results from today’s 2-year Treasury auction will be released at 1:00 PM.
